I am planning a trip for December 2017. I have two vegetarians in my party. We have been going thru the quick service menus and not seeing very many options. Would anyone have any suggestions of places to find the best vegetarian options. Thank you.

    Hi Heather,

My family loves exploring food at Walt Disney World and though none of is a vegetarian, we often choose meatless dining. We find a number of interesting options beyond cheese pizza, veggie burgers or simple salad throughout the theme parks.

In fact, a couple of our favorite quick Disney meals are vegetarian: the vegetable platter at Tangierine Cafe at Epcot and the grilled vegetable stack at Harambe Market at Animal Kingdom. You'll find a large number of vegetarian options at the food kiosks scattered throughout Animal Kingdom.

We also love the Lighthouse Sandwich at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom. The ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios recently revamped its menu, and it now includes a Mediterranean salad with feta and hummus, and Backlot Express has a Caprese sandwich.

My Disney Parks Moms Panel friend Andrea H. travels with a large group of high school students each year, many of whom are vegetarians. One of her best tips is to look for menu items that would still be delicious without the meat and ask that the meat be omitted, such as the fajitas at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn at Magic Kingdom (which has a fixings bar that pump up the veggie volume).

I hope that gives you some ideas, Heather. I'm out of room, but please check back if you have more dining questions. Enjoy!
