We are planning a trip December 26- January 1, 2011. Staying at Pop Century. Are there heated swimming pools and will the weather be warm enough to swim?

    Hi Pennie,

You've picked a fun place to stay for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  I stayed at Disney's Pop Century less than a year ago and had a wonderful time.  Be sure to check out the tie-dye cheesecake in the Everything Pop food court during your stay.  Their chocolate chip croissants are pretty spectacular too.

As for the pools, yes, they are heated to 82 degrees year-round at Walt Disney World.  However, I often find the temperatures in December too chilly for swimming but I've seen many hearty guests give it a try at that time of year.  I suggest you pack your swimsuit and keep your fingers crossed for warmer-than-normal temperatures.  You could always hit the hot tub near the Hippy Dippy Pool if the regular pool is too chilly for you.

Wishing you a magical vacation in December!  Don't hesitate to post additional questions if you have any.  We'd be happy to help you.
