Greetings, Terry, and welcome to planDisney! Your Disneyland Resort trip is just around the corner – can you already smell the churros and hear the music of Main Street, U.S.A.?
Terry, the
Hours & Events Calendar is my go-to resource for park information. It's updated on a rolling basis to reflect park hours, entertainment schedules, and refurbishment closures up to six weeks in advance. I just took a peek at
December 3, 2025, and at the time of writing this, it looks like Disneyland Park will be open until 11 p.m. that night. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy the extra magical atmosphere of the holiday season.
Looking at the entertainment schedule, there are a few things you should leave time to see during your visit:
- A Christmas Fantasy Parade has marching toy soldiers, prancing reindeer, floats with Disney Characters, and even an appearance by Santa Claus! It is scheduled twice in the afternoon, weather permitting.
- The "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular is one of my favorites. Make sure to watch from a location that has "snowfall" as part of the show – I usually watch from the area near "it's a small world."
- There are a few areas where you can see holiday lights illuminate nightly, including "it's a small world," the tree at the front of Main Street, U.S.A., and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Of all these, the castle feels especially magical, and there are a few times each night when "snow" will fall as part of the fun!
Terry, aside from the very merry entertainment, you'll have a chance to savor some decadent food and drink options as part of the holiday season. Check out the
Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to see if anything catches your eye. I've heard that the White Mocha-Peppermint Tree-shaped Macaron from Jolly Holiday and the Santa Breakfast Potato from Troubadour Tavern are both delicious!
I visit the parks often, and my best advice is to be at the parks in time for rope drop. The front gates open about a half hour early, so you can scan in and make your way down Main Street, U.S.A. until you reach the ropes (and other eager Guests). Once the park officially opens, the ropes will drop and you'll be able to make your way to the first attraction. The first few hours after opening are my favorite – my family can usually get on quite a few attractions. It's also a good idea to take a midday break so you have energy to stay late at the park. Of course, if attractions are a big priority for you, the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass may be a good option, since it can grant you access to special entrances at many attractions that lead to shorter queues.
Terry, I hope you have an amazing time visiting the Disneyland Resort next month! If you think of any additional questions as your trip approaches, please feel free to reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
Wishing you magic,
Kriss
