Planning a trip for Dec 2011 me, dh, ds 6 and 9. This is our 2nd trip and looking to cut down cost a little. Would you spend the extra money on moderate resort (vs. value) or hopper passes? What is your fav. moderate resort if that is the way to go? Thanks

When my kids were 6, 5, and 3 I preferred to stay at Port Orleans Riverside.  The rooms were a bit roomier and the fridge was a bonus.  I spent a lot more time in the room than I do now, as they are 16,15,13.  We stay at the Value because the only time we go to the room is to sleep, and then we are up and out early.  We don't bring leftovers back because the kids will finish their plates and any I have left on mine, so a fridge isn't really needed.  Hopper passes, I do see value in only because, if we want to eat at the World Showcase for dinner but want to spend the day at Animal Kingdom, we can't.  There is no flexibility, if no hopper, you must eat and play in same park all day.  My favorite value resort is Pop Century.
