I am planning a trip for dec 13th thru 24th...how busy is it at that time of yr...we always go in nov..also i was planning to stay at all movies star resort..is it nice?how is transportation? we alsways stay at french quaters.would that b wise for me 2 do?

Hi, Marina!  I love going to Disney during the holidays.  It is so beautiful with all the decorations!

When you  arrive on December 13, the crowds will be manageable.   However, once you hit the weekend, around December 19, the crowds will start to pick-up.  By December 24, you will see near capacity crowds.  I would make it a point to get in all you can early in your vacation, and toward the end, expect more people.   Use the tail end of your vacation for relaxing by the pool or maybe visiting different resorts to see their holiday decorations and trying different restaurants throughout the property.  Make sure to make your dining reservations 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

All-Star Movies is a Value Resort that can be a lot of fun.  It is a very large resort and can feel quite hectic.   Compared to Port Orleans French Quarter (a Moderate Resort,)  the rooms at All-Star are smaller and the resort larger.  It has a huge food court and a lot of activity.  You will find the busses to be more crowded here.  If you want a bit more relaxing vacation, I would choose Port Orleans French Quarter.  If you don't mind high energy and kids, you will be fine at All-Star Movies.

Wishing you Happy Holidays in Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
