We are planning a trip for Dec. 2022 but may have to move it to April 2023. If we purchase tickets (with Gene+, hopper, and photo package) and have park reservations for Dec., can they be moved to April?

Hey Howdy Hey Tammie and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for visiting planDisney and for your question. Modifications and moving reservations can totally be done online through your My Disney Experience account. There are some dates to keep in mind however that we will need to watch out for. So let's walk through the steps to get you ready for this process.

The first thing to be aware of is dates. At this time, guests cannot make vacation package reservations for 2023 but this window will open on June 8th. Just a word of warning if you are moving through these steps before that time, you might not be able to modify your dates just yet.

As far as the steps go, the first thing to do is to log onto your My Disney Experience account. Scroll to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. On the far right, you should see a few options, one of which would say something like "Modify Reservation". If you click on this, you will be able to access your reservation and look at availability for other dates to modify. As long as there is availability, you will be able to rebook your trip for the new dates. Typically with vacation packages, when you modify one thing the others should go with it, but you might have an extra step for your tickets.

In your My Disney Experience account and under the same "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section, you should see a heading titled "Tickets & Memory Maker" which you will click on. You should see all your tickets and the members of your party they are assigned to here. You should also see the dates they are authorized for. Under each of them, you should also see a link to "Change Ticket". If you click on that you should be able to change the dates you want to use them.

Be aware that when you are making these changes, if you change the dates of your trip to times that have pricing different than when you booked, you will see the updated price before you confirm the changes.

Make sure that with all of the changes you made, you update your Theme Park Reservations as well. You will have to cancel the ones in December and should be able to make the ones for your new travel dates when everything does become available next month.

If you do come across any issues or difficulties with getting this process done, you can always call Disney and a Cast Member will be able to help you through this process.

Best of luck making these changes and I wish for a Magical trip for you and your party. Please do stop back if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
