Planning a trip for Dec 2010 to see all the holiday deco with kids 9 & 4. Which moderate resort will have a more Christmassy feel-Carribean Beach or Port Orleans French Quarter? Hoping for warm weather but would also love the over the top holiday charm

If over the top holiday charm is what you're looking for, Walt Disney World is the place to be!  However, it's tough to choose one of the resorts you mentioned over the other as being more "over the top."  Both the Caribbean Beach Resort and Port Orleans French Quarter are moderate resorts and will be decorated for the holidays in line with their respective overall themes.  Neither stands out to me, though, as having something the other lacks.  Much like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'd have to say that the better choice for your family will depend upon which atmosphere feels more holly jolly to you: a tropical yule, or a bayou blue Christmas?  I can assure you that both resorts will feature gorgeous trees with themed ornaments, beautiful garlands, and plenty of holiday inspired landscape.  Whichever you decide, you may want to include visits to some of the deluxe resorts in your itinerary because there you will find some truly "over the top" festive touches.  Look for:

    - a chocolate carousel at Disney's Beach Club resort
    - a giant gingerbread gazebo at Disney's Boardwalk Inn
    - breathtaking trees at both Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge
    - a gingerbread dollhouse at Disney's Grand Floridian
    - a gingerbread version of Santa's workshop at Disney's Polynesian Resort

Not to mention all the whimsical festive touches you'll witness in the parks.  Whichever resort you choose, I think it's fairly safe to say that you won't be disappointed!
