I am planning a trip with my daughters (7, 4 and 11mo) and husband - it will be their first visit to WDW. I have been there before. We are planning to visit 6/8-6/15 - what should we expect crowds and weather to be liked?

    Hi there, Sabrina!

Your timing is great; this is actually a great time of the year to visit. There's a spirit of fun in the air, and "vacation mode" is definitely ON. Days are longer, the Parks are in full swing, and most rehabs and scheduled closures are completed for the season.

June in Florida - without mincing words - is pretty warm. You'll be comfortable from day to night in shorts and short sleeves; there's no need to bring any kind of outerwear (sweatshirt, etc.). Temperatures are typically in the high 80s-low 90s during the day, and the mid-high 70s at night.

Afternoon rain is a strong possibility at this time of the year, too. while Florida isn't fully into rainy season, yet, you might want to have ponchos or rain slickers handy. It's likely that daily storms won't be a certainty, but you'll want to be prepared.

Your party is arriving at the very beginning of the summer season. Crowds will be higher than average, but are not yet near peak summer attendance

Be prepared to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Drink plenty of water, and bring sunscreen, which you'll want to use liberally). Don't forget your bathing suits: the Resort pools are perfect oases of relaxation in the afternoons!

    Have a wonderful time!

    see you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
