Hi Susan,
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to help you plan a visit for your daughter's high school graduation!
Our girls just started high school and I used to teach high school, so I feel like your question tugged at my sentimental heart. They grow up so fast! First, let's start with reviewing the resort hotel options with the
Disney Resorts Collection. Each resort hotel has different amenities. We typically prefer deluxe and deluxe villa resorts because they have more dining and transportation options. But budget is also a concern for us, so when we are not using our Disney Vacation Club membership points, I sometimes have chosen a value resort hotel. These are typically a little more budget friendly. Our favorite resort hotels include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's All-Star Movies Resort. My girls and I actually did a girls' trip a few years ago and had a blast staying at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Contemporary Resort both have walking paths to Magic Kingdom and, along with Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, they have access to
Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation. Disney's BoardWalk Inn is within walking distance to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios while Disney's Pop Century Resort has access to the
Disney Skyliner. Once you pick two or three resort hotel possibilities and your travel dates, search
vacation package prices on the Walt Disney World website. Just click on Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today. When pricing your vacation package, you will also have to select the type of theme park ticket and number of theme park ticket days. Tickets with the
Park Hopper® Option allow you to visit more than one park per day provided parks are not at capacity. Although tickets with the Park Hopper® Option are nice, 1 Park Per Day Tickets are great as well. We typically leave to take a break at the resort hotel in the middle of the day and then return to the theme park later in the evening.
If you do not have a My Disney Experience account, go ahead and create one. Once you book a vacation package, you will need to link that vacation package in
My Disney Experience so that you can make
Disney Park Pass system reservations. To link it, locate the confirmation number (which should be emailed to you), log into My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, and then click on
Link Reservations and Purchases.
Susan, I suggest that you review the
Attractions List, click on the drop down menu for All Parks & Resorts, and then filter by theme park to see what rides are each park. You can do the same for
Character Experiences and
Entertainment!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
