I am planning a trip for my daughters first birthday. I have always wanted to stay in the Contemporary Hotel since I was a child. I was wondering if I could request a certain floor and would this hotel be ideal for my family ???

Hello Natasha!  The Contemporary is one of my family's favorite resorts and if you've been wanting to stay at this resort for as long as you have, I say give it a try!    The Contemporary is a family friendly resort with an awesome table service restaurant (Chef Mickey's), a nice food court, great shopping and a pool area that my children have enjoyed throughout the years.  You also have easy access to the monorail and if you decide to walk to Magic Kingdom, there is a walking path which will take you about 10 minutes or so.

When booking your room, there are various categories you can choose, including garden wing (this is the smaller building on the south side of the main tower building), a tower room with a Bay Lake view or a tower room with a Magic Kingdom view.  Each category has different pricing but once you select your category, you can certainly add a room request to your reservation.  Although room requests can not be guaranteed, you can be sure that the cast members will do everything they can to accommodate your request.

Please let us know if you have any specific questions regarding the Contemporary.  And I hope your first vacation there is truly magical!  Diane
