Planning our trip for 12/7-12/13. Can do a combination of either whispering canyon and narcoosees OR Artist Point and 1900 PF dinner. We want to pick a restaurant from both WL and GF. Which combination of restaurants would you choose?

    Hi Kindra,

OUCH! What a tough decision to make!! All of those restaurants are winners, so let me put on my thinking cap for a second.

    [Dramatic Pause]

Okay, I think what makes the most sense is to give you a quick breakdown of what I like most about each one:

    1) Whispering Canyon Cafe

This might be one of the most "fun" restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. It's almost like eating in a dinner theater because the cast members are such a hoot!

    2) Artist Point

This is the perfect restaurant for when you're in the mood for gourmet dining in a non-pretentious setting. Plus, they have an incredible assortment of wines from the Pacific Northwest that pair well with the fish, beef, and wild game offerings.

    3) Narcoossee's

I tend to be wary of restaurants "with a view" because the food often pales in comparison to the atmosphere. When it comes to Narcoossee's - throw that rule out the window. If you're in the mood for seafood, then this is the place for you!

    4) 1900 Park Fare

Not only is this a fun character dining spot, but the buffet is pretty awesome as well. The carving station is where you'll usually find me hanging out (salivating over the gorgeous cuts of meat!).

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

After dinner, both resort hotels offer many ways to wind down the evening if you're not up for hitting a theme park. At Disney's Wilderness Lodge, snag a rocking chair in front of the Grand Fireplace for a relaxing hangout. At Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, grab a chair and enjoy some live jazz from the Lobby Society Orchestra.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
