Planning a trip to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and my son's 13th birthday. Anything offered for such milestones since Disney is where they wish to celebrate?

    HI Debbie!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Walt Disney World is a fabulous place to celebrate a birthday.  I would start off with a special dinner celebration.  Some great places for teens are:
    • Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge
    • Ohana in the Polynesian
    • Coral Reef in Epcot
    • San Angel Inn in Epcot
    • 50's Prime Time in Disney's Hollywood Studios

You can order a celebratory cake when you arrive at the check-in podium or you can pre-order a custom cake.  Just be sure to do it a couple of days before if you decide to go with a pre-order.

To do something special, I suggest a fireworks cruise.  You can rent  a pontoon boat to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks show Wishes from the Seven Seas Lagoon.  You can also go out with a group via the Pirates and Pals fireworks voyage; it is a great event and a lot of fun for guests of all ages.  You can also do a private Illuminations cruise to watch the Epcot fireworks.

One of the things my two boys love doing is to rent a Sea Raycer two person boat and take it out on Seven Seas Lagoon or Bay Lake.  You can rent a boat from any of the Magic Kingdom resorts.  I think renting from the Contemporary Resort is particularly nice as you can then easily explore both Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
