We are planning a trip to bring our granddaughter for her 2nd birthday in February, I know that she does not need a ticket for theme park admission, but how does the genie plus work, will she need to be added to our plan to go in lighting lanes with us?

Hey there, Kandace, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question. It’s exciting to see that you are embarking on a Walt Disney World Vacation very soon! Quick Sidebar: I have some grandparents that I need to send to you for grandparent mentoring! Because taking your granddaughter to Disney will make you grandparent and parent of the year!

Kandace, since Theme Park Tickets are not required for Guests under three, you will not need to include your granddaughter in your Genie+ plans. Your granddaughter will get to tag along with you everywhere you go across the resort, including the Lightning Lane queues. And if she’s lucky enough to be a tall two-year-old, she’ll even get to board some of those attractions. To our surprise, my oldest son was tall enough to ride Slinky Dog Dash on his two-year-old visit to the parks! It was great to see his face light up when Andy’s backyard came alive for a few moments! He still recounts that memory today. All of that excitement is the best prerequisite for an epic stroller nap! One quick note: you will count your granddaughter in your party when booking dining reservations for your vacation. So when your reservation window opens, be sure to keep this in mind!

I hope this helps, Kandace! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
