Hello I was planning a trip with my boyfriend to Disney World. Unfortunately we broke up and the trip was in my name. I still want to go but the ticket is in his name and I would like to take a friend instead. May I change the person I am going with?

Hi Angelina! Welcome to planDisney, where our goal is to help each and every Guest have the best vacation ever.

Walter Elias Disney once said, "We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." While I'm sorry that the path you were going down with your boyfriend has come to an end, I'm so happy to see that you are discovering a new path with your friend. Some of my favorite trips have been with my friends and I'm sure you're going to have a wonderful time! After all, as Snow White pointed out, "You're the one who can fill the world with sunshine." And a fun trip with a good friend may be just the thing for you because "laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever."

I'm happy to report that you can usually reassign an unused ticket to another Guest. As long as no one has redeemed any part of the ticket, you can go into your My Disney Experience account and select "My Plans" under the My Disney Experience menu. Scroll down and select "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" under "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets." Find the ticket you'd like to reassign, click on "Reassign Ticket," select your friend's name, and then select "Yes, Reassign Ticket."

If you are not yet connected to your friend, simply visit the My Family & Friends page, select "Add a Guest," and follow the prompts. If you run into any issues at all, a friendly Cast Member would be happy to help you!

My friend, you are bound to make so many magical memories on this upcoming trip. Might I recommend you visit the princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall when you're visiting Magic Kingdom Park? These strong, inspirational women have seen their fair share of heartbreak and all found the courage to believe in their dreams. And while I'm sure you already know that there's a strong princess within you, sometimes a magical reminder is in order and a hug and some advice from these ladies may just be the ticket. Then, at the end of your day, catch the nighttime spectacular Happily Ever After for a special and emotional reminder that you have the power to unlock the magic within yourself.

Angelina, magic is real. It shimmers when you laugh with your friend. It gleams when you eat a delicious snack in a fantastical place. It glows when you scream your head off on a high-speed thrill ride. And it shines whenever you smile.

Dream big, princess. And reach out if you have any other questions.

    Let the wonder take hold,
    Matt
