We are planning a trip in 2026, we want to book a 7 night Disney hotel and ticket package directly from Disney - my understanding is that the ticket is only valid from the day of check in. Is it possible to activate the tickets 7-days before check in?

Hi Samantha, thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!

Because your tickets were purchased as part of a Hotel and Ticket package, the ticket dates are associated with your hotel check-in date. The 7-Day Ticket is valid for 15 days from the start date, and the 14-Day ticket is valid for 18 days from the start date.

If you are planning on spending part of your vacation in a Disney Resort, I would consider booking that stay at the start of your vacation. Then, you can continue using your tickets for the remainder of their valid dates. You could also book your hotel and purchase your tickets separately so you can select your ticket start date, although you may miss out on any applicable package offers

I hope this was helpful, Samantha. It sounds like you’re in the beginning stages of planning so maybe you have some time to think about which option will work best for you. If you have any more questions as you continue planning your Walt Disney World vacation, we’d love to see you again at planDisney
