Planning a trip for my 70th Birthday. Need 2 rooms for 3 nights in December. Can you help??

    Hi there, Donald!

Welcome to planDisney, and happy early birthday! I celebrated a milestone birthday with nine friends at Disneyland Resort a few years ago. It is the best location for a special birthday! We ate at my favorite restaurants, rode all the attractions, and laughed way too much. I cannot wait to do it again!

You have two options when booking a hotel at Disneyland Resort. You can make a room-only reservation if you do not need theme park tickets. I have a Magic Key pass (Disneyland Resort's annual pass), so I usually make room-only reservations. On the other hand, you can reserve a Vacation Package, which could include your hotel rooms, theme park tickets, and other options.

Room-only reservations and Vacation Packages can be booked on the Disneyland Resort website using the "Build Your Vacation" tool at the top of the homepage. Enter your dates, the number of Guests, and choose "All Hotels". You will be taken to a page that shows the current lowest cost for each of the three Disneyland Resort hotels for your selected dates. Guests need to book each room one at a time, and adjoining rooms can be requested by calling the Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation line. Adjoining rooms are not guaranteed, but the Cast Members try to accommodate Guest requests as much as possible.

Have you considered booking a Family Connecting Suite instead of two separate rooms? My family has the best time when staying in 2 Bedroom Connecting Suites at Disneyland Hotel! My kids love waking up close to their cousins and grandparents, and I like how easy it is to coordinate plans. The 2 Bedroom Junior Connecting Suite sleeps up to 8 adults and typically includes one King Bed, two Queen Beds, one Day Bed, and one Twin-Size Pull-Down Bed. If you need a little more room, the 2 Bedroom Family Connecting Suite sleeps up to 10 adults.

Pixar Place Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa also have suites, and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is absolutely beautiful during the holidays. In the past, a majestic holiday tree filled the lobby, and carolers sang holiday ballads on select evenings. Grabbing some hot cocoa and sitting by the fire in the evenings is the perfect way to end a fun-filled day at Disneyland Resort!

A deposit will be needed to finalize your reservation on the Disneyland Resort website. Payments can also be made on the website under "View Existing Reservations." Full payments are due 30 days before arrival. You can also call the Disneyland Resort Vacation Packages Line if you would like assistance with booking a Vacation Package.

Did you know that dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance? Many Guests love visiting Disneyland Resort during the holidays, and Table Sevice Restaurants can fill up quickly. I recommend making reservations as soon as they become available on the Disneyland Resort website. You may want to consider a special experience, as well, such as the World of Color Dessert Party or a Fantasmic! Dining Package.

Donald, I hope this is the most magical birthday yet! Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have other questions!

Wishing you a very merry birthday!
