Hi Ciarra! Welcome to planDisney!
Girls trip! It sounds like you're planning what is sure to be an incredible and memorable few days at
The Most Magical Place on Earth! I have three children, the youngest of whom just turned three yesterday, and they either bring up a Disney memory or ask me about our next visit to Walt Disney World Resort at least once a day! I just know this special trip with some of your favorite people is going to make you dream of future vacations and give you birthday memories that last a lifetime.
January is a wonderful time to plan a trip as the holiday crowds are heading out and the heat of the summer months seems far away. While it will still be sunny and comfortable you hopefully won't have to worry about 90-degree weather and summer thunderstorms!
Because Walt Disney World Resort was made for families to have fun together, you'll find no shortage of exciting rides, attractions, and shows that you, your mom, and your daughter can all experience at the same time. I think it's safe to say that spending a day at
Magic Kingdom is a must-do for your little princess. You'll all be able to soar through the skies on Peter Pan's Flight, shoot lasers on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, travel around the globe on "it's a small world" and get dizzy at the
Mad Tea Party. Besides these attractions, you'll find the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, meet and greets with some of your favorite character pals like Mickey Mouse himself, and a magical nighttime spectacular -
Disney Enchantment. I promise your little one's eyes will be wide open trying to take it all in!
If you're planning on purchasing a Standard Theme Park Ticket, where you and your family will visit one Theme Park per day, you'll have time to experience one other Park during your stay. Each and every Disney Park is unique so I think where you choose to head really depends on your daughter's interests. If she's an animal lover you might want to wander to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park where she can hitch a ride to see all the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris, float through a bioluminescent rainforest on Na'vi River Journey, or see some animals up close at the
Affection Section.
I know that if my children had a choice they would visit EPCOT. They love to Journey into Imagination With Figment, sail through Arendelle on
Frozen Ever After and have dinner with character friends at one of our favorite dining locations, Garden Grill Restaurant.
We just can't forget about Disney's Hollywood Studios! Here, you can shrink down to the size of a toy and enter Toy Story Land, join the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, or hang out with the "Fab 5" in
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (a new favorite for my family!).
It's SO hard to choose just two Parks! If you're stuck deciding you can always purchase the
Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket which allows you to visit multiple Parks per day! Please come back and see us again if you have any other planning questions as your vacation inches closer!
