We are planning our 1st trip the beginning of July with our two boys who will be four and six. Looking for advice about where to stay. Choosing between AoA, CBR, POR and WL. All very different. Help!!!

Hi there, Laura! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. So glad you stopped by to let us help you plan your first-ever visit to Walt Disney World!

I've stayed at all of the resort hotels you're considering and I think they're all amazing in their own way. I adore the Caribbean Beach Resort for its laid back island vibe (and great kids' water spray area). Port Orleans-Riverside Resort has pretty, manicured grounds and some great food. The Wilderness Lodge is a grand Northwest beauty that's just a boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom Park.

But I think for your family I'd recommend Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If your little guys are fans of Disney*Pixar's "Cars" (like my almost-5-year-old), they'll absolutely love the larger-than-life figures of Lightning McQueen and all his pals from Radiator Springs in the Cars section of the resort. There are also sections devoted to "Finding Nemo," "The Lion King" and "The Little Mermaid," also featuring scenes from the movies that your kids can explore. The Nemo area also sports the Big Blue Pool, the largest single pool at Walt Disney World. It's got a zero-entry area, and music piped in under the water. So fun!

The family suites in the Cars, Lion King and Finding Nemo areas have a separate bedroom, a Murphy-style bed and a sleeper sofa, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave and small refrigerator, and two full bathrooms. Rooms in the Little Mermaid section are more like standard hotel rooms.

There's so much more I could tell you, Laura, but I'm almost out of space! I hope this helps you narrow down your choices. If you'd like more information about all of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels check out this handy list of links. Hope you have a fabulous first trip, and come back and visit us if we can offer you more advice!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
