We are planning a trip for the beginning of February. I need to know if I can get a bus back to our resort from the ticket and transportation center after a late dinner at Ohana. The Magic Kingdom will be closing at 8 and we do not want dinner until 8 or 9

    Hi there Deborah.

You're correct that Disney Transportation availability is scheduled according to theme park operating hours.  As a result, it does make a lot of sense to consider park closing times when relying on the various transport options and using the theme parks as transfer points. In general, motor coaches run about 60-90 minutes before park opening and end at about 60-90 minutes after park closing. If you are staying at one of the onsite resorts outside of the monorail line and are planning to eat dinner at the Polynesian Resort at 9:00 pm, you may be unable to use a theme park as a transfer point due to the fact that most of the parks would be closed after your meal is finished.

As this schedule may impact your dining plans, I would recommend you peruse the Park Hours Calendar for February 2013 prior to making your advanced dining reservations. Another option would be to request that the Poly's friendly cast members contact a taxi cab for the return to your resort. A great unofficial website to estimate fare rates can be found at: www.mousesavers.com. Simply type in "Taxi Calculator" in the search box at the top left hand corner of the main page. The taxi fare to get all the way across Disney property should seldom exceed $20 plus tip and in most cases will be much lower.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel! Please feel free to send more questions my way prior to your trip!
