I am planning a trip for the beginning of Feb. 2010. with my family of 4 and my mother-in-law is coming with us with my nephew. Would we be too crammed if we stayed in a cabin at Fort Wilderness? Would we be better off at Pop Century with 2 rooms?

Hi, Julia!    The cabins at Fort Wilderness are great if you plan to cook meals in your room since it has a full kitchen.   It is also nice since the kids can go outside and play.

That said, I personally would choose 2 rooms at Pop Century.   While you will not have the kitchen, with 2 rooms you will have a total of 4 double beds (nobody is on bunks or pull-out beds) and the biggie:  you will have 2 bathrooms!      You will not get a refrigerator at a Value Resort, but you can rent one for about $10 per day if you think you will need it.

If you go for the Pop Century option, make sure to request connecting rooms on your reservation.  While this cannot be guaranteed, every effort is made to accommodate guests.

Compare both resorts and see what will work best for your family.   Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
