I am planning a trip for the beginning of December with a 4 year old and 15 month old. I have been looking at the different hotels and have been haveing a hard time deciding between a value hotel suite or regular room at the moderate or deluxe hotel?

    Hi there Kimberlee!

December is an absolutely delightful time of year to visit Walt Disney World! Your little ones will love seeing all of the holiday decorations in the theme parks and I'd recommend attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party if any of the event dates coincide with your trip plans.

When deciding which Disney resort hotel to call home during your vacation, I suggest that you factor in your theme park touring itinerary in addition to any budget concerns. If you're like most parents with children under the age of 5, you'll be spending the majority of your time at Magic Kingdom Park. And you'll likely be using a stroller for those tiny feet. If that's the case, then staying at one of the resorts located on the monorail system would be ideal for a quick return for midday naps. Of the choices available, I'd suggest Disney's Polynesian Resort for the preschool set. The tropical oasis theme, a gradual entry swimming pool and an incredible white sand beach will surely keep your kids happily engaged in their magical surroundings.

Be sure to check out this link to the In-Depth Planning Guide for Resort Transportation to look at all of the complimentary transport options before making your final decision.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your December trip!
