Aloha Keri!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your Disney Vacation Club question about
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. My family spent time at Aulani last year and we absolutely adored our time at the gorgeous resort in Ko Olina, Oʻahu. We were able to book 7 months from our travel date since Aulani is not our home resort.
A Disney Vacation Club Membership has many perks but one I appreciate a lot is the flexibility. Members can
Bank and Borrow Vacation Points so they can travel in a way that makes sense. We
borrowed Points for our reservation at Aulani, allowing us to book a larger villa while travelling with extended family. If you are planning a Summer 2026 trip to Aulani, you can bank points from your 2025 Use Year so you can use those for booking your 2026 vacation.
Unfortunately, since your travel is planned for 2026, you won't be able to bank your 2024 Points and use them towards the trip. You can bank your Points into your next Use Year which extends the life of your Points by a full year. It's also important to remember that Points can only be banked once and your travel must happen before the expiration date. You will have access to your 2027 Vacation Points at the time of booking so you can borrow those if you'd like.
Keri, I hope this information helps your vacation planning. I wish you happy banking, borrowing and booking for a memorable Disney Vacation Club voyage to paradise! Please revisit
planDisney with any DVC or vacation planning questions, we're happy to help.
Welcome Home,
Candace
