Aloha, Dean!
Welcome Home and mahalo (that means "thank you" in Hawaiian) for stopping by with your question. What can I say, except you're welcome here at planDisney, as there's no place I'd rather be than riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and answering questions about Aulani! Dean, getting to see the whole world under the sea by snorkeling is one of our family's favorite activities at Aulani. You might see Nemo and friends, but if you're really lucky, you might see the special Hawaiian fish called the humuhumunukunukuapua'a (or "humu humu" for short.) It's my favorite thing to see when snorkeling in Hawaii.
Dean, you can rent snorkel equipment from
Mahiki Joe's right at the beach. Unfortunately, however, they do not offer prescription masks, so if you require one, I recommend bringing your own.
You can snorkel right in the
Ko Olina Lagoon from Aulani's beach area. You also have the option to snorkel in
Rainbow Reef which is included in the mask rental, along with a life vest and mask. Current rental prices are $25 per snorkel set, though prices are subject to change. However,
Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount for rentals at Mahiki Joe's so be sure and let them know if you are a DVC Member.
Dean, see where the line in the sky meets the sea? It calls me, and it will certainly call you too. When the magic of Disney meets the spirit of aloha, it makes for memories to last a lifetime. If you have any further Aulani questions, Dean, surf back over here to me and I'll be so happy to help you! Here at planDisney, we are your vacation planning 'ohana. 'Ohana means family and that means nobody gets left behind.
A hui hou (that means "see you soon" in Hawaiian!)
