Hello, we are planning a trip in August for my daughters 5th Birthday, and I was wondering if you can still book a night in the castle and how do you do that? Also any special tips for taking a 5 year old for the 1st time. Thanks

Hi Mandy!  We often get this question as who wouldn't want to stay in the most magical places in Walt Disney World. But unfortunately Disney does not offer that as an option to their guests.  During the Year of  a Million Dreams promotion one lucky family was chosen by random each day to stay in the castle suite but that is non longer happening. Only a few lucky people can say they have enjoyed a stay.

You can give your daughter a treat by trying to book a meal in the castle for Cinderella's Royal Table.  She will meet Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother and perhaps a couple other princesses.  A princess of your daughter's age might also enjoy becoming one herself by going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where you can have hair and makeup done and even purchase a full princess outfit. There are many great character dining experiences as well and be sure to look at them all to make at least one reservation. For princess meet and greets the one at Akershus is very popular and to see the main Disney characters head to Chef Mickey for a meal.

Take the journey over to Fort Wilderness for dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo where you all will feel like you are back in the western times.  If you time it right you can head over to Chip and Dales Campfire Singalong that evening where the music and s'mores are roasting followed by a Disney movie.

All four parks will have great things for that age so don't avoid any thinking they are too "old" for her. My six year old grandson loves everything and Epcot is actually one of his favorites where he embraces the Innoventions buildings!
