Hi Sharon!
So much has changed since your honeymoon! During our honeymoon in 1996, I remember wearing my Mickey Mouse Bride's ears and feeling like a total princess. Fast forward a couple of years and here we both are, surrounded by baseball, bugs and boogers! I am so glad that you want to recapture some of your "inner princess" while you bring your boys to Disney World.
As far as character meals go, I highly recommend
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at the Grand Floridian - just don't mention the name of it to your boys! You can get your "princess fix" with Cinderella, while the boys can cut up with the evil step sisters. Most boys that I talk to thoroughly enjoy trading insults with the step sisters and don't mind that Cinderella sweeps through from time to time. While you are at the Grand Floridian, be sure to take some time and explore the beautiful lobby. Why not let your hubby take the boys to the arcade while you peruse the shops for a while? My favorite boutique at the Grand Floridian is
Basin - I can smell those fresh soaps now!
Over at the Magic Kingdom, you have to check out the Pirate's League. Your boys can be transformed into swashbuckling pirate fiends, while you are made over into a beautiful pirate princess. Of course, you simply must pick up a tiara and sport it throughout your entire trip. This drives my boys crazy! In Epcot, you can often find Snow White in Germany, Belle in France and several others - the lines to meet the girls are usually much shorter here than in the Magic Kingdom. While you are mingling with the princesses, your boys can explore the area with your husband. Just remember, you are the Queen of your royal family - have a fabulous trip!!!
Much pixie dust,
Jackie S.
