Planning trip 10/2014. Would like to attend MNSSHP while there. Is okay for adults to dress up in costume also. I know no adult princesses are allowed. Can you only buy tickets from disney ?

Hi Kristin!  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my families favorite special events at Disney. We always try to go on Halloween night and often go more then once during our October stays.

Each time we go we dress in costume as it adds to the festivities of the evening. Sometimes we have only adults and other times we will have some children with us. No matter what we dress as a group and have a great time. Any costume that is Disney oriented that might confuse other guests as to which is the true character is not allowed. Also offensive costumes will be turned away at the gates. But there are many fun things for families to wear and often you will see some creative home made ones. Just remember masks that cover the complete face are also not allowed and would hamper your own safety while in the park so keep it fun and comfortable.

There are often outside vendors who advertise Disney tickets however you run the great risk that these will not be official and not work once you arrive. I never suggest you buy tickets from anywhere except Disney. They do offer DVC discounts as well as Annual Pass discounts on certain party dates. You can order them by calling and can get them so you will pick them up at Will Call if you choose not to have them mailed to you directly.
