Planning our trip around the W&D 1/2 marathon or the new TOT run. We arrive a couple days before and stay the week after. Which time do you think is best in terms of crowds?

The fall is my favorite time of year to come to Walt Disney World!  Either of the weekends you mentioned would be great but I do have a personal preference.

If I had to choose between the two I would definitely choose the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon on November 9 and 10.  The weather is so much better at that time with the humidity lower and evenings cooler.  Beyond the weather you are hitting the tail end of the great EPCOT Food and Wine Festival which is so much fun. You can graze around the World Showcase and taste all the treats from the different countries.  It is an experience you won't forget.

The weekend of your race will be crowded with all the other race participants and their families. However, crowds will relax once the weekend is over and you should find parks thinning out. Enjoy the weekend at Walt Disney World!
