We are planning a trip for April and this will be my 5 yr old's first trip. We will arrive on Fri. and leave on Sun. and I plan to purchase 2 day tickets. Would you suggest going to a park Fri. morning until we can check in?

If you arrive prior to the park’s opening time, then I would definitely plan on touring Friday. Arriving early will significantly help you to see the attractions that are important to your family.

You can then take a mid-day break and go to your hotel to Check In.

Otherwise, you can arrive your resort on Friday and go directly to Check In. Enjoy the pool and other resort amenities until your room is ready. You could also go to Downtown Disney or have lunch at a resort restaurant. You can check out of your room Sunday morning and then go tour a park all day.

Figure out if your family would rather arrive WDW very early on Friday morning or stay late on Sunday. I want you to get the most use out of your park admissions and insure that you have two full days (don’t forget to take mid-day breaks though). I hope your 5 year old has a magical first trip!
