I am planning a trip in April 2013 with my 2 year old grandson. Are children under the age of 3 free when dining with characters, or is that only available when you have a dining plan?

    Hi Annette,

If your Grandson will be under the age of 3 when you visit Walt Disney World, he will be welcome to share from your plate at no additional charge.

This works out particularly well at buffets like Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary resort and Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast & Lunch at Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Alternatively, you could always purchase a meal from the menu for your Grandson in which case, the price of the meal would be added to your bill.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
