We are planning a trip in April. My wife and I are definitely going but my daughter may be able to come. If we make all of our reservations for 3 people and then she can’t come can we remove her from the reservations without canceling everything

Hey Howdy Hey Jonathan and welcome to planDisney!

I love going to Walt Disney World Resort with my family. Being in the Most Magical Place on Earth with my wife and my three girls is an experience that is too good for words. Just being in the Magic together and being able to experience everything as a family is amazing. Now that being said, my wife and I have been able to sneak away for an adults-only trip a couple of times and were able to experience the Magic from a different perspective but still really special. When booking your trip, you may be able to easily modify Guests on your reservation, but it would depend on how you make it, let's talk about the options.

The first option and the easiest to modify would be when you book vacation packages. Being able to book your resort and theme park tickets together makes everything way more convenient when it comes to booking your trips as well as modifications if you need to. If you book your trip for three and then find out your daughter won't be able to make it, you should be able to make these modifications online through your My Disney Experience account. On your "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section of your account, you should be able to look to the far right and see an option to "Modify Reservation" or wording for a number to call. If you see the link, you should be able to follow the link with the same room information, biggest thing will be updating your ticket selections and travel party. For some reason, if this does not work out as smoothly, you can call Disney at (407) 936-1936 and a Cast Member will be able to help you through this process.

If you make the park ticket purchases alone, these are non-refundable but able to modify the dates to a later time if your daughter, or you, would be able to make it back at a later time. To my knowledge, room-only reservations would not be impacted with the change of just one adult in the room. So a little more difficult with individual items but still possible.

Either way, I hope you will be able to visit us here in the Vacation Kingdom of the World real soon. If you haven't heard already, you will be just in time to welcome in a new growing season with EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. Such an inspiring display of colorful flowers, gardening tutorials from experts to grow a greener thumb and of course the food! Really great way to bring in the warmer weather that I hope you have some time allotted for!

Good luck with your continued planning and if you have any further questions let us know, we love talking about all things Disney!

    Happy planning,

    Nick
