Planning a trip for April, my son would like to know if a backpack is allowed on rides (with cameras inside) or if they need to be stored somewhere. There will be seven of us and we all would like to ride the water rides.

    Hi JoAnn!

Yes backpacks are allowed on the rides in Walt Disney World. I carry my backpack with a camera and lenses on every trip to Walt Disney World because I love taking photos of Walt Disney World!  I always put my backpack between my legs with one of the straps around my leg (I step through one of the backpack straps before I board the ride) to make sure that it remains with me. If you are planning on going on water rides, then you will need to protect any cameras or other electronic equipment by placing them in water proof bags or containers because you will get wet on most water rides.  I would recommend renting a locker to put your backpack in if you plan on going on lots of water rides.

I hope that you have an amazing Walt Disney World vacation with your family with lots of memories and photos of course!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
