Ahoy there, Lucy!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Sailing onboard the Disney Wonder to Alaska is going to be such an incredible adventure for you and your crew. Between the glaciers, wildlife, and breathtaking scenery around every corner, it's a voyage unlike any other Disney itinerary!
While your cruise through the
Last Frontier is not currently scheduled as a
Halloween on the High Seas sailing, you're still in for some unforgettable themed entertainment. One of the highlights unique to the Alaska itineraries is
A Frozen Fjord Celebration with Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and many of their friends. Based on the current schedule, this takes place on Day 3 as you cruise past the stunning Stikine Icecap. Throughout the day you'll find Frozen-themed activities, and that evening you'll enjoy a Frozen-inspired dinner menu in the main dining rooms.
If your crew enjoys dressing up, your sailing is also currently scheduled to include a formal night on Day 2 (at sea) and a semi-formal night on Day 5 (Juneau). These evenings are completely optional, but they're a fun excuse to snap a few family photos with some incredible scenery waiting just outside.
As always, be sure to check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you board the ship for the final entertainment schedule, activity times, and locations. While entertainment schedules can occasionally change, the Navigator app will have the most up-to-date information for your specific sailing.
If binoculars aren't already on your packing list, I'd definitely find room for a pair or two. Alaska has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. You might spot a humpback whale surfacing alongside the ship, a bald eagle soaring overhead, or mountain goats perched high on the cliffs. If you’re looking for a good place to enjoy the sights, the Deck 4 Promenade is a fantastic place to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and keep an eye out for wildlife between ports.
I hope this helps as you get ready for your Alaska adventure! While there won't be pumpkins or happy haunts aboard your sailing, trading spooky decorations for glaciers and Frozen fun is a pretty magical exchange.
Sea ya real soon with sunshine on deck and fireworks lighting up the night sky,
Dustin
