I am planning a trip for 2012 with my DH, ds age 5 and dd age 4, and my parents. I was leaning towards the third week in September since it's still value season and crowds are low. Is it still very hot and humid then and is it a rainy month??

This is a little tricky to answer; in a nutshell, it will still be warm and possibly hot. The average temperature is 82 degrees, which is the same as August and July.  The average high is 90 degrees, too, with humidity at 80%, which along with August is the highest in the year.

However, if you Iook ahead to October, the average temp is 75 degrees with an average high of 84 degrees and 77% humidity.  So I'm optimistic that by booking your trip the latter part of September, you'll be starting to escape some of the extreme heat.

But the rain --  it is a rainy month with an average of 14 days of rain a month.

I do want to share with you that if your trip happens between August 28 through September 24, 2011, you could be eligible for free dining.  Click here to learn more.
