Planning a trip for 3 adults for WDW. We are planning on PO-FQ and close to the main entrance/cafe area. Any sugg. on buildings to ask for? We've stayed at the All-Stars, but they're not comfortable for us -- youth groups/cheerleaders...

    Hi, Deborah!

Port Orleans French Quarter is my family's favorite resort. We stay there a few times a year so we truly see it as our "home away from home!"

We are just like you as we like to stay as close to the food court and bus stop as possible.  My request is always for Building 4, and I prefer a first floor room.  There is a courtyard area as well as a grassy area nearby that my kids enjoy for tossing a football or epic Lightsaber battles (they couldn't resist after visiting Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios!) With a first floor room, they can go right outside our door to have some outdoor fun.

If you upgrade and have a pool view or water view, my building of choice is Building 5.  Still close, but that nice view of the pool or river.

French Quarter is the smallest of the Moderate Resorts, so you will find that even if in the farthest building you are still only about a 7 minute walk to the bus stop or swimming pool. It is a compact resort, yet does not feel crowded.

I could go on and on about this resort with the made to order beignets at the bakery, the horse and carriages passing by, or the great boat ride to Disney Springs, but I'll stop there and let you discover the magic during your stay. Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
