Welcome BACK to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of the features I love best about MagicBands is being able to make purchased without needing to carry - or risk losing - a wallet, purse or backpack!
Activating
MagicBands for charging privileges, whether all connected to the same card on file or designating one individual card for each band, is done at the Front Desk of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It takes just a few minutes to set up and can be done while checking-in. You can designate a new card for different bands at any point during your vacation, but it's easier and more accurate for billing purposes to link your card before you start charging
delicious Dole Whips, bountiful breakfasts or
super cute sweatshirts. You can also set daily spending limits per band, or deny charging privileges altogether for your 4-year-old.
Bonus Tip - did you know that you can send the majority of souvenir purchases back to your resort hotel for pick-up later so you don't have to carry them around all day? To take advantage of this free service, simply notify the Cast Member while you're checking out that you'd like to send these items back to your hotel. Any non-food item, including individually wrapped snacks like Chip & Dales Snack Factory pretzels, will be enclosed in a shopping bag and you'll be asked to fill out a short form of information like your resort hotel and check-out date. Purchases will then be sent to your hotel's main gift shop package pick-up area and you can collect them after 6 P.M. the next day. You can take advantage of this absolutely free service up until two days before you check-out.
