Planning a trip for 2 adults in October and wondering if the dining plan is worth investing in since we are gluten free. Have done the plan many times but didn’t have dietary restrictions then. Thanks for your help!

    Bonjour, Lisa!

We are so happy to hear from you!

Just thinking about Disney Dining Plans makes my tummy rumble! I never visit the Walt Disney World Resort without securing a Dining Plan!

I can sympathize with you, Lisa! I recently became unable to eat meat, and I was really worried that a Dining Plan would not be a good idea for me. However, I have found that eating with restrictions or allergies at Walt Disney World is so easy! Let me repeat that: It is SO easy! Almost every Quick-Service and Table-Service restaurant can accommodate gluten-free needs (and a ton of others)!

A lot of restaurants will have a note by them that informs you that a particular menu item is gluten-free. If you find that there is not a gluten-free note by any items, or that the menu items that are marked do not interest you, simply ask your server or Cast Member for more information and they will happily inform you of menu items that would be good for your specific diet!

I love that, at buffets, I can have a Cast Member or a chef walk me through the line of food and let me know what is safe for me to eat. Don’t hesitate to ask! And, at almost every Table-Service meal and some Quick-Service meals, you can talk with a chef or a special-diets trained Cast Member! They usually have a special allergy-friendly menu available as well!

I would highly recommend getting a Disney Dining Plan, Lisa! You won’t miss one beat with your new eating needs. I feel that a Dining Plan is even more valuable to me now than it ever has been! And, I know you’re going to love all of the amazing gluten-free options at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

We’d love to hear from you again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions you may have!
