I was planning a trip for 4 adults from May 10-15 of 2017, and I cannot find a hotel room on Disney property. All the value resorts say there are no rooms and even moderate and deluxe resorts too. Is there a special event going on that I cant find a room?

    Hi Amanda,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm sorry you've had difficulty booking a resort, but let me see what I can do to guide you. I, too, can find no rooms available at value resorts for those five nights. I'm not aware of a specific event, but I do know that May is a popular time of year for large school groups to visit Walt Disney World, and they tend to stay in the value resorts. There's also a huge cheerleading competition at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex the prior weekend, and that may have a bearing as well.

However, I was able to see available rooms at a range of prices at a number of moderate and deluxe resorts that would meet your party's needs, including our favorite moderate resorts, Port Orleans Riverside and Port Orleans French Quarter.

I also availability at the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, which are nice because they have a full kitchen and an outdoor patio, and at other great deluxe resorts such as Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts.

Maybe there was a technical glitch when you tried previously. I suggest you take another look. If you still aren't showing any availability online, it's worth a call to the resort reservations line at 407.939.1936 to see what they can find for you.

I hope you are able to find just the right resort for your vacation, Amanda. Please let us know if we can offer any recommendations on dining, attractions or activities. We're always here to help. Enjoy!
