Planning a trip for 1/28/19 - 2/6/19 for 5 adults & 3 kids (11,8, & 4). In 2012, I stayed at POFQ & really liked it. I am thinking about the Cabins but remember they are not very popular. What are the pros/cons of the Cabins. Is POFQ better?

Hello Ernest and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's our pleasure to assist you with your plans to visit the magic of Walt Disney World Resort in early 2019!
I'm so thrilled to know you're planning a return Disney trip and like you, I sometimes opt to stay in differing Disney Resorts each visit, but often my family of 6 return yEar after yEar to stay in the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
For me there are so many pros to staying at The Fort as it's often known because of its natural beauty and tranquility complete with towering Cyprus and Pine trees and pretty waterways. The delightfully rustic cabins truly do provide Guests with a home-away-from-home-sweet-home feeling and yet this peaceful Resort is only a short boat-ride away from the Magic Kingdom Park.
Plus I'd say that with so many different Recreation experiences like horseback riding, canoeing and Segway Tours on offer, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is almost a vacation destination within it's own right! Eating and Dining at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort shouldn't be missed either with the delicious Trail's End Restaurant and of course the rootin' tootin' fun of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
The only con for me personally is that my stays there simply aren't long enough!
Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
