Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth. I'm super excited to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort next week! With
The World's Most Magical Celebration well underway and the
holiday season just kicking off, it's an exceptionally magical time to visit the theme parks.
As a mom of three, a well-stocked backpack is an absolute must-have for my family's pixie-dusted adventures in the theme parks. The last thing I need on my hands is a "hangry" kiddo, so I'm always sure to pack bottled beverages and lots of snacks. I also pack ponchos, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, and several gallon-sized Ziploc bags (these come in handy for all sorts of reasons!). This mom is prepared for just about anything!
Bags brought into the theme parks must be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Bags do not have to be clear, but it's important to note that all bags are subject to screening at the entrance security checks. You are most welcome to
bring food and beverages into the theme parks, but glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Additionally, loose ice is not permitted in the theme parks, so if you'd like to keep some of your items cold, be sure to use either reusable ice packs or pack loose ice in a sealed Ziploc bag (I told you those bags come in handy!). Before your arrival next week, I recommend taking a few minutes to review the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules for an official list of prohibited items.
Have you downloaded the
My Disney Experience mobile app? It's magic at your fingertips! The My Disney Experience mobile app has lots of cool features, like the new
Disney Genie Service, but my favorite is the
mobile food and beverage ordering feature. It has saved my family lots of precious time in the theme parks!
I hope this was helpful, Elizabeth. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
