Danielle from Northern Ireland Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am planning a trip with 3 adults and 3 children, one of the adults has a disability that would prevent her walking for long periods or queuing. Is there anything I can do to make her visit more enjoyable with less waiting around.

    Bienvenue, Danielle!

How wonderful that you're headed to Disneyland Paris this December! The halls will be decked, the trees will be trimmed, and your favorite Disney pals will be dressed in their holiday finest. It's sure to be a holly jolly holiday! Of course, the real gift of a Disneyland Paris vacation is that the magic is accessible to Guests of all ages and all abilities, so I'm happy to share some suggestions that will hopefully help make your visit as magical as possible for every member of your party.

First, depending on the disability, your companion may be eligible for a Disneyland Paris Priority Card that will allow the Guest with the Priority Card and a select number of accompanying guests to access alternative queues and gain priority access to attractions, entertainment offerings, character meet and greets, and checkouts at dining and merchandise locations. This would significantly reduce standing and queuing time, so I definitely suggest requesting one here (beginning one month in advance) if eligible. Currently, eligibility is dependent upon the presentation of an original copy of a valid proof of disability. For UK visitors, this would be one of the following:
    Disability Living Allowance
    Attendance Allowance Award
    Personal Independence Payment
    Armed Force Compensation Scheme
    Certificate of Vision Impairment
    U.K. Disabled I.D
    National Disability Card
    Access Card
    Parking Card for Disabled People
    Registration Card BD8
    Adult Disability payment
    Disabled Student's Allowance
    Scottish Child Disability Payment

In addition to a Priority Card, you might also consider renting a wheelchair to minimize walking while still allowing everyone to take in all of the magical details of the Disneyland Paris theme parks hold. I also suggest reviewing this Accessibility Guide and webpage before your visit for more information on all of the services available to Guests with disabilities. Did you know there are even theme park tickets offered at a special rate for Guests with disabilities?

While I don't have first-hand experience visiting Disneyland Paris with a disability, I recently returned from a Disneyland Resort vacation during which I wasn't able to enjoy all of the attractions with the rest of my party due to medical limitations, and I'm delighted to share that I still had an incredible time! From relaxing on a Main Street, U.S.A. bench with Mickey-shaped snacks watching Guests, characters, and performers stroll by, to meeting my favorite characters, singing along to parades, and hopping between Fantasyland attractions with short waits, there was truly so much for me to see and do!

I hope this is helpful, Danielle, and that you have an incredible visit to Disneyland Paris! If you need any additional assistance before your countdown draws to a close, feel free to come see us again at planDisney. You've got a friend in me!
