We are planning on traveling to WDW for our son's first birthday between 6/24 and 6/29. We are planning to visit WDW and the Animal Kingdom during our stay.We were wondering what is the best resort for infants, and do any have kiddie pools?

    Hi Adam!

As a dad who has brought his children to Walt Disney World many times through the infant/toddler phases, I'm excited to hear that you're going to celebrate your son's first birthday there!

Personally, my favorite hotel is Disney's Polynesian Resort. I love the tropical theme, the lush landscape, and its proximity to the Magic Kingdom.

As for pools, the Polynesian has two awesome choices. The first one is their volcano pool that has a zero-depth entry feature, which is perfect for the little ones to sit and splash around. They also have a second "quiet" pool, where families are welcome to swim and hangout as well.

If the Polynesian doesn't sound like something you'd be interested in, I wouldn't worry because you really can't go wrong in choosing a resort hotel at Walt Disney World. Each hotel is beautiful and they all offer first-class service, complimentary transportation to the theme parks, and amazing pools that would be appropriate for toddlers.

When you're visiting the theme parks, make sure you take advantage of the baby care centers. In addition to being a convenient place to change diapers, they also have a wide array of baby care supplies to purchase in case you run out.

When we go on vacation, my wife ships some of our supplies (e.g. diapers, wipes, etc.) to our Walt Disney World resort hotel so we don't have to worry about packing it all in our suitcases. She just places her order from one of the online retailers, then selects to have it shipped to our resort hotel a day before we're scheduled to arrive (just in case of a shipping delay). When we check in, we give the tracking number to the cast member and they have someone bring the package to our room for us. It's a huge help!

I hope you have a great vacation and feel free to drop me a line if you'd like any other tips for traveling to Walt Disney World with a toddler!
