I am planning to travel with my kids 5 and 10 who extremely excited..however we booked a hotel on international drive. I don't have a car...what is my best mode of transportation as a first time traveler

Hey Howdy Hey Natalee and welcome to planDisney!

I am so excited to hear that you and your children will be visiting us here at the Most Magical Place on Earth really soon! There is so much to look forward to during your vacation with so many new attractions that have opened, the excitement is endless! Ok, first it sounds like we need to talk about transportation to and from your resort. Let's start there before we get into the highlights.

Natalee, the first thing I would highly recommend is talking with the hotel you will be staying with. Most hotels close to the Walt Disney World Resort will have complimentary transportation to and from the parks. I would ask if they do as well as the times they run and the frequency at which they run. These factors may be very different from one hotel to another, so just make sure you have the details so you can better plan your day in the parks and evening transportation back to your hotel.

If need be, the other quick way to get around is with a rideshare option. Apps such as Lyft and Uber will be your next option to get from one place to another quickly. Before you travel through, make sure to visit the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles site for details on laws requiring children to be in car seats or booster seats. Depending on the height and weight of your 5-year-old, they may have to be in a booster seat or car seat. You can typically request a car set and it is easy to bring a booster seat if you choose. Disney offers locker rentals in the front of each park so that you can store the booster seat while you experience the Magic of the parks. Just don't forget to grab it on your way out!

There have been so many recent changes to the parks with additions of attractions and other areas to visit. Some of the newer ones are over at EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. EPCOT has gone through an extensive reimagination and with this, we have attractions such as the Journey of Water, Inspired by Moanna. This self-guided walking tour takes you on a journey of water in various stages and how important it is in our environment. Feel free to get as hands-on as you would like, especially on those hot Florida days!

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is another attraction that has recently opened in Magic Kingdom. This attraction is super fun and entertaining as you take a ride down the bayou with Tiana and so many new friends. You will surely be clapping your hands and stomping your feet with this immersive ride and catchy music. Oh, and you may get wet as you drop into the Bayou!

I hope you and your kids have an Enchanting vacation full of Magical memories. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    Nick
