We are planning to travel to Disney World the third week of March. Part of consideration for lodging depends on transportation from the resort to the MK. Will the boats from the Wilderness Lodge to the MK be operating as normal?

Hello Jim! Welcome to planDisney! Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a great resort in the Magic Kingdom area! You’ll be a boat ride away from nostalgic attractions such as Peter Pan’s Flight and the Haunted Mansion, to the thrills of TRON Lightcycle / Run and Space Mountain!

When visiting the website for Wilderness Lodge, there is a message for Guests stating that work on the boat dock will result in the temporary suspension of boat service at the resort from January 12 to January 30, 2026. Based upon that message, it appears that the boat dock will return to service for Guests well before your late-March 2026 visit!

Jim, if any changes are announced, they’ll be posted on the website page for Wilderness Lodge. Based upon the current message, I wouldn’t anticipate any further suspension of boat service beyond the posted date. So, as my friends Timon and Pumbaa would say, “Hakuna Matata!” I would continue planning your visit with confidence that you’ll be able to travel from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom using the boat service!

    Dreams do come true!
