We're planning to travel to Disney World in June 2017. My stepson will be 10, but my daughter will only be 2. Am I correct that my stepson will need to order off of the adult menu when dining? What does a child under 3 do? Thanks!

    Hi Jen!

Thanks for bringing this excellent question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you have a wonderful vacation planned for next summer!

In my house, turning 10 is a big deal because you are officially a "Disney adult"! So yes, your stepson will order off of the adult menu when dining. On our visit to Walt Disney World Resort last month, my 10-year-old daughter loved being able to order from the adult menu!

On the other hand, there are some wonderful and budget-friendly options for your two-year-old daughter! If you're dining at a Table-Service buffet or family-style restaurant, your daughter can dine for free and have her own plate, drink and dessert! I think your whole family would love Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park and Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort. These are just two examples of Character Dining buffet locations where your pint-sized princess can dine for free! At Quick-Service locations or Table-Service restaurants where you order from a menu, your daughter can share from your plate. If your daughter needs more to eat, you can always order something off of the menu for her.

I hope this helps with your planning, Jen! Please stop back and let me know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming trip!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Erin
