Hello Mark, and welcome to planDisney where we love to channel our inner Fairy Godmother and help guests make their own wishes come true!
Mark, how exciting that your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is so soon! I'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort this summer as well and I'm counting down the days. If you're in the mood for a sweet or savory treat during your visit, check out the
New Summer Best Bites: a collection of summer-themed dishes in the parks and at select Disney Resort Hotels.
Now, while I love to eat while I'm on vacation, there is so much more to see and do, so let's talk about your arrival day! Mark, I love that you're planning to experience
Disney Monorail Transportation. If time allows, I encourage you to stop at one or more of the Disney Resort Hotels on this monorail loop and explore. You can walk through the grounds, do a little shopping, or grab a snack!
If you complete your day at the EPCOT monorail station, you'll have a few options to return to the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. The quickest option, but with a separate fee, would be to use a
Minnie Van or other rideshare service from the front of EPCOT directly to your resort. While my family and I don't often indulge in this, sometimes at the end of a long day, you just want a quick return!
My next recommendation would be to modify your day slightly so that you can end at the
Magic Kingdom Park monorail station. From there you can exit the monorail, walk a short distance to the bus area without entering the park and grab a bus directly to the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel.
Now, If inclement weather would affect the operation of the Disney Skyliner, it's possible you would find a bus to the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, but assuming that is not the case, you can use
Disney Bus Transportation from the front of EPCOT back to your resort, but you'll need to make a few transfers. For example, you could take a bus to Disney's Port Orleans Resort- Riverside and then take the water taxi to
Disney Springs and from there use the bus to reach the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Bus transportation to Disney Springs is available from any Disney Resort Hotel, which makes Disney Springs a great hub for transfer back to your resort. In your case, it would just take a few hops to make that happen.
Mark, I hope this gave you a few ideas to help in planning your arrival day. No matter how you get where you're going, I hope you have a Magical time. If you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney.
