I am planning a get together for our small family in March and will need a dinner reservation for 9 people. It does not seem possible to book that number online. 8 people will get a reservation time. Is there a solution?

Hiya Cheryl - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

Food is a major part of any Walt Disney World visit for my crew, so I completely understand wanting to get your dining plans squared away in advance for your family! There are many Table Service dining locations that accept reservations for larger parties, however, the larger your group, the more challenging it can be to secure a reservation. This is simply because multiple tables need to be available at the same time in order to be combined for a larger group. Some locations aren't able to accommodate larger groups and this is usually because of the physical layout of the restaurant. For example, at some locations, the tables are permanent and can't be moved or combined for parties larger than a certain size.

Enough with the explanations, let's talk about how your family can enjoy dining together! If you are flexible on locations, I first encourage you to look at restaurants that typically can accommodate larger parties. These include Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT's Germany Pavilion and Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, for example.

You may also try making two smaller reservations at around the same time at the same restaurant. You would make one reservation, and someone else in your party will need to make the other. You can always let the Cast Members at the restaurant know that you would love to be seated at tables near one another, and they will do their best to accommodate your request.

Lastly, Cheryl, I recommend that you keep checking! Other Guests' plans change all the time, which means that reservations of all shapes and sizes become available every day. I hope this information is helpful - stop by with more questions any time!
