Hi, planning 1st time vist with boys 5 & 7, looking at the por resort, do you think they will like it.? also where would we go after arriving to look around and eat. they have never been to a hotel before we like camping and outdoors.

I think an outdoor loving family will fit right in at Port Orleans Riverside, especially in the Alligator bayou section of the resort.  The grounds there are gorgeous; among the prettiest on property in my opinion!  There are lots of meandering pathways at Port Orleans Riverside.  Once you arrive and check in I would suggest just taking a walk around the resort.  You might even consider going on a carriage ride.  The rides load right outside the main lobby and can be reserved ahead of time by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.  Boatwright's, the on-site restaurant, would be a most convenient spot to grab dinner.  If you're in the mood for some piano man fun, stop by the River Roost Lounge after your meal for a very family-friendly round of songs everyone knows and loves; Yeeha Bob puts on an energetic show (on select nights) that'll leave you singing the tunes for days!  Have a great trip.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
