Aloha, Denise!
It's nice to hear from you again –– thanks for coming back with another question. Hot dog! A Hawaiian Cruise and a stay at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa? It doesn't get more magical than that! What a perfect way for you and your husband to celebrate 40 years of your "Happily Ever After"!
Like other
Disney Vacation Club Resorts, availability for booking an Aulani stay at the 7-month mark will probably depend on the time of year you're planning to visit. In my experience, mid-December through mid-April is typically the peak season for visiting the Hawaiian Islands, so you might find that availability is more limited during that time. One other thing to keep in mind is that while there are roughly the same number of Deluxe Studios and 1-Bedroom Villas at Aulani, the Resort has almost double the number of 2-Bedroom Villas. If you have enough Vacation Points to book a 2-Bedroom Villa, you may have better luck finding an available room. Also, don't forget that if your dates are unavailable when it's time to book, you'll have the option to make a Waitlist request, just like you can at any other Disney Vacation Club Resort, so there's always a great chance that a room will become available for you before your visit.
As for getting to and from the cruise port, it should take somewhere between 30-40 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions. Likewise, it typically takes about 30 minutes to reach Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. And as an added bonus, if you'll be renting a car during your stay, daily parking for up to two vehicles is
complimentary for Disney Vacation Club Members staying at Aulani Resort.
Mahalo for visiting planDisney, Denise. I'm wishing you and your husband a Happy Anniversary and I hope you have a magical Hawaiian stay during your upcoming visit to
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa!
A Hui Hou (that's Hawaiian for "Until We Meet Again),
