Hiya Robert - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our team of panelists today. We love to help Guests just like you plan magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
I know that the
four incredible Theme Parks are the focus of most Guests' vacations, but I think
Disney Resorts Collection hotels are just as magical! What you're describing is commonly known as a "split-stay" and it's a great way to experience multiple Resorts in a single vacation.
I recently had a split-stay starting at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and then moving over to
Disney's Riviera Resort. It was great to be located within walking distance of
Disney Springs for the first part of our trip at Saratoga Springs. Then, once we moved over to the Riviera we had
Disney Skyliner access to both
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios, and we also enjoyed a delicious Character Dining breakfast at
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera! One of the best parts of doing a split-stay is that Bell Services can actually transfer your luggage for you between Resorts. Just drop it off at Bell Services the morning you're checking out of one Resort, and it will be waiting for you later in the day at the next Resort you're staying at!
The one consideration to keep in mind when planning this kind of trip is that you probably won't want to book a traditional vacation package online since those are limited to one Resort. Instead, I recommend booking your separate Resort reservations and then purchasing your
Theme Park Tickets with the Park Hopper Option separately as well. Some Guests who plan this type of trip also like to speak to a
Reservations Cast Member to make sure the reservations are linked together - this helps Resort Cast Members know your plans. Alternatively, you could always use a travel agent with Walt Disney World Resort experience to help you piece together the perfect trip for your crew!
I hope this information is helpful as you start planning for your next adventure.
Please let me know if any other questions pop up along the way!
