Dear Ximena,
While both theme parks at the Disneyland Resort have magical attractions, shows and events for guests of all ages,
if you're only able to visit one Park, I would recommend you visit Disneyland! Here's why:
*
Rides. There are numerous attractions suitable for five and six year old kids! There are classic rides like "it's a small world" and Dumbo the Flying Elephants to Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Pirates of the Caribbean, suitable for all ages!
*
Pictures. Disneyland features the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle. There's no better way of showing that you were at the Happiest Place on Earth than with a picture in front of the castle! Disney PhotoPass photographers will be happy to photograph you and your kids for memories that will last forever!
* Food. The Disneyland Park offers two very delicious and unique food items that you can't get at California Adventure. One of those is the famous Dole Whip, a cold treat served next to the Enchanted Tiki Room. The other is a hand-dipped corn dog from the Little Red Wagon on Main Street USA. These snacks alone make the visit worthwhile!
*
Mickey's Toontown. Where else can a child visit Mickey's house and get to meet the Mouse himself? There is also an opportunity to visit Minnie's House, play on Donald's Boat and even ride a roller coaster meant for young thrill-seekers!
*
Fantasmic! The amazing nighttime spectacular is back at Disneyland and this show will make your kids remember their visit for years to come. I promise.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
